Life Indeed - True Knowledge

1 Timothy 6:17-19 “...Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed...”
What are some things that people fix their hope on that are uncertain?

Who do people trust to supply things to enjoy?

How did Paul want people to live their lives, and what outcome did Paul expect?

1 Corinthians 3:10-11 “...According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it. For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ...”
What is the best foundation for the future? Why?

John 17:3 "...This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent...”
How did Jesus describe eternal life in His high priestly prayer?

2 Peter 1:2-4 “...Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust...”
How did Peter describe the process of receiving life indeed?

What is escaped when the process takes place?

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 “...for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,...”
What gets erected to prevent life indeed, and how is it removed?

2 Peter 1:5-8 “...Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ...”
How can diligence be given to the list presented by Peter?

How can a person avoid being “useless” or “unfruitful” in true knowledge (life indeed)?
