14 - Cleansed to serve the living God.

The Jews thought they had a system in place to take care of sin, but the 1st coming of Christ is what took care of sin. Christians think they have a system in place to take care of salvation, but the 2nd coming of Christ will take care of salvation.
Heb.10
22 - “...let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water...”
24 - “...and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,..”
26 - “...For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,...” Ouch!
31 - “...It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God...”
36 - “...For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised...”
39 - “...But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul...”
Heb.11
1 - “...Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen...”
6 - “...And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him...”

2,3 Eyes on Jesus prevents weariness and losing heart.

2-4 Trials test our faith, produce endurance, and result in perfection and completeness.
14,15 Temptation comes from lust, which gives birth to sin, which brings forth death.
21,22 - “...Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves...”
25 - Intensity and abiding lead to doing.

16-17 The world’s lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and pride of life is passing away. Doing the will of God is lasting life.
24 - Make your dwelling with God.

3-8 Fix hope on Him, practice righteousness, escape from the works of the devil.

18 - Orthodoxy is right belief. Orthopraxy is right living. Love in deed and truth.
22,23 - Do the things that are pleasing in His sight - believe and love one another.

Spirit of truth vs. spirit of error.
12 - “...No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us...”

4 - Faith overcomes the world.
